Have been bad with updating my posts recently, so I need to catch up on 6 events! The first of which was held on the 5th of October, 2019. The Junior Sprint Classic was held at Puckapunyal, the Eastern Lions Kart Club. In practice I hit a time of 47.21. I was feeling confident heading into qualifying.
Qualifying
I Qualified P7/9 for qualifying. I did a 47.51, which disappointed me. I did not get a clean lap due to other drivers battling.
Heat 1
I had a decent start, but coming around turn 3, someone drove of the track and unsafely rejoined in front of me, resulting in me launching over the back of him. I managed to pushy through and finished P7.
Heat 2
In heat 2, I once again got a decent start and was into P5, but when I went for a move on P4, they turned across into me on a straight. A disgusting thing to do. I ended up beating him, but P5.
Heat 3.
I got a great start, went from 6th to 3rd. On lap 2 I passed another driver, who then got me back at the end of the main straight. I followed him around turn 2, but then someone else decided he wasnt happy and turned into my rear, sending me way off the track. Finished P7.
Heat 4
I started P8 for heat 4, I nice start and was into 5th, but then two drivers collided in front of me, and I was forced off the track. Managed P6, due to others mishaps I was last.
Final
I started 8th for the final, got a nice start to 6th, and worked my way up to P4. I was challenging for P3, when another driver ran across the front of me, and launched over the front of me. Cracked my Nassau panel and go pro case and mount. Finished P7, last, and half a lap behind 1st.
A weekend to forget, but on to the next weekend
